A hit in Las Vegas

The Independent Distillers USA team sampled more than 2,000 Shotz at the Nightclub and Bar Show in Las Vegas this month. 30,000 staff and owners of nightclubs and bars from all over the USA attended the show. They were experiencing Twisted Shotz (and the rest of the vast portfolio) for the first time and immediately saw the potential for incremental profits.

Independent Distillers Hires New Executives

Three Long-Time Industry Heavyweights Will Help Launch New Brands into North America

September 17, 2010, San Rafael, CA –Independent Distillers, a leading producer and distributor of ready to drink (RTD) brands in both Australia and New Zealand, has announced the appointment of three executives to head their sales and marketing divisions for North America. The new hires are Peter Heyworth, Vice President of Marketing USA; Ray Stoughton, Vice President of Sales USA; and Alan Danvers, Director of Sales Canada.

“We are fortunate to have hired three people with the experience, knowledge and track records of Peter, Ray and Alan,” said Bruce Herman, President of Independent Distillers. “As we move forward with our plans to launch a number of new RTDs in North America, we need strong executives to manage our marketing efforts and our distribution network. We are confident our new team will help us achieve success as we develop and introduce new products to the marketplace.”

Peter Heyworth, Vice President of Marketing USA
Peter Heyworth fills the newly created post of Vice President Marketing USA. Peter has classic Blue Chip marketing training and expertise from his years at Gillette. He has initiated, staffed and managed a National Marketing Company for International Distillers & Vintners. He further extended his alcohol beverage experience, demonstrating his strategic planning and innovation skill sets working with both Diageo and Fosters Wine Estates Americas.

Ray Stoughton, Vice President of Sales USA
Ray has 20+ years of Beverage Experience in the US across all markets and categories. He has most recently lead, managed and directed the national selling efforts for Foster's Wine Estates. He has also held key management and selling roles for Nestle Waters, Boston Beer, Group Danone and the E&J Gallo Winery.

Alan Danvers, Director of Sales Canada
Alan is being promoted to Director of Sales after two successful years with Independent Distillers in Canada. Previously, Alan was the National Manager of Business Development for Source by Circuit City, VP of Sales and Marketing for Gateway Software, and VP of Sales and Marketing for Alure Sales where he managed clients in the United States, China, Africa, and Australia.
